Our recommendation:

Quality level 3

This cover is produced just the way we did at Karmann. The used fabric is a development from the Sonnenlandstoff.

The cover is acustically more efficient. The lateral seams are welded and sewn twice (not visible from the outside) and has already got the attachements for the tarpaulin. This version is highly advisbale. Wind noises are detained much more efficient and moisture doesn't have a chance of leaking in.

It's self-explainatory that the fabric has three-layers.

Cover fabric: Polyacrylonitrile, the best fabric for convertible tops it's completely lightfast even after many years

Middle layer: Butyl gives the fabrica water resistance just like a wetsuit

Foundation fabric: High quality polyester with the original honeycombe texture

Colours: dark blue, red, dark green, grey, brown, titanium grey, dark beige, light beige. 65 other colours f.e. "original Aigner" are available on request.

A version for those of you who want it cheap:

Quality level 1

This cover is fabricated quite simply. It is sewn and welded twice. The fabric of the edging strip is much thinner.

Pros: this version is very affordable

Cons: louder wind noises

A slightly better version

Quality level 2

This cover is fabricated a bit better and the edging strip is a little firmer.

For those of you who prefer the original

Quality level 4

Different from the Q3 version, this cover has got an additional application seam that was welded back in the days due to cost efficiency reasons. This cover is only offered in black and blue.
